Me roba mi capacidad de funcionar y me hace sentir\ndesesperada, impotente e incapaz de tomar decisiones. En medio de esta indecisi\u00f3n,\nelijo buscar la sabidur\u00eda de la familia y\/o mentores apropiados para que me gu\u00eden. Cada\ndecisi\u00f3n exitosa aumenta mi confianza en m\u00ed misma para creer que puedo manejarme\ncon \u00e9xito por mi cuenta.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; padding-left: 80px;\"><em>\u201cSi a alguno de vosotros le falta sabidur\u00eda, p\u00eddala a Dios, que da a todos abundantemente\ny sin reproche, y le ser\u00e1 dada\u201d. <\/em><em>\u2013 Santiago 1:5<\/em><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>\u00bfSe ha encontrado poniendo la sal en el refrigerador, o el detergente para la ropa en el microondas, o\nsu correo en el congelador? \u00bfHa puesto su taza de caf\u00e9 en el microondas para calentarla y la ha\nencontrado dos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s? \u00bfO tal vez fue a la tienda de comestibles y se encontr\u00f3 parada en el\ndepartamento de productos l\u00e1cteos sin tener idea de por qu\u00e9 hizo el viaje? \u00bfSe ha olvidado por\ncompleto de pagar las facturas o las ha pagado dos veces? \u00bfSe pierde conduciendo a lugares\nfamiliares? \u00bfO llega a alg\u00fan lugar y no recuerda por completo c\u00f3mo lleg\u00f3 all\u00ed?<\/p>\n<p>Sentir que su cerebro que funciona racionalmente se ha tomado unas vacaciones es una parte muy\nnormal del duelo. \u00a1Ojal\u00e1 alguien me lo hubiera dicho antes! \u00a1Descubr\u00ed que pod\u00eda sentarme en el sof\u00e1 y\npensar en absolutamente nada durante horas! Y cuando se trataba de tomar decisiones, mi cerebro\ncambi\u00f3 a neutral... \u00a1todo acelerado y sin lograr nada! A veces me preguntaba ad\u00f3nde se hab\u00eda ido el\nadulto profesional y competente que hab\u00eda logrado criar una familia y equilibrar los trabajos y el\nministerio a lo largo del camino. De repente me sent\u00ed no preparada o incapaz de tomar incluso las\ndecisiones m\u00e1s simples que habr\u00eda dado por hecho unos meses antes.<\/p>\n<p>Como establece el Principio #3, existe una condici\u00f3n cerebral muy real conocida como &quot;Confusi\u00f3n de\nla viuda&quot;. (Otras p\u00e9rdidas pueden desencadenar lo que se conoce como &quot;confusi\u00f3n del duelo&quot;, \u00a1pero\naqu\u00ed nos estamos enfocando en las viudas!). Perder a un c\u00f3nyuge es uno de los mayores factores\nestresantes que enfrentamos en la vida. Este dolor en particular afecta su capacidad para funcionar\nnormalmente por un tiempo, pero en realidad es una gran protecci\u00f3n para sus emociones cuando la\np\u00e9rdida puede ser abrumadora.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, \u00bfc\u00f3mo podemos esperar que se vean los s\u00edntomas de la \u201cconfusi\u00f3n de la viuda\u201d?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Olvido<\/li>\n<li>Sentirse como si estuviera aturdido<\/li>\n<li>Problemas para dormir<\/li>\n<li>Incapacidad para concentrarse<\/li>\n<li>Sentirse como si estuviera\ndeambulando sin rumbo fijo en c\u00edrculos<\/li>\n<li>Incapacidad para expresar sus\npensamientos claramente<\/li>\n<li>Las tareas peque\u00f1as se sienten\nabrumadoras y pueden llevar mucho\nm\u00e1s tiempo de lo normal<\/li>\n<li>Dolores de cabeza o de cuerpo<\/li>\n<li>Sistema inmunitario comprometido\nque conduce a enfermedades m\u00e1s\nfrecuentes<\/li>\n<li>Fatiga o agotamiento constante<\/li>\n<li>P\u00e9rdida de apetito<\/li>\n<li>Dificultad para tomar decisiones\nsimples<\/li>\n<li>Miedo o Ansiedad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Es posible que tenga alguno o todos los s\u00edntomas anteriores a medida que el duelo literalmente\ncomienza a reconfigurar su cerebro. Una forma de entender esto es ver nuestro cerebro como el\ndisco duro de una computadora que elimina autom\u00e1ticamente los archivos &quot;extra&quot;. Cuando estamos\nsobrecargados con el estr\u00e9s del duelo y la p\u00e9rdida, esto proporciona m\u00e1s recursos internos para\nmanejar el duelo. El cerebro se concentra en los sentimientos y s\u00edntomas del duelo y tiene poca\ncapacidad para hacer mucho m\u00e1s. \u00a1Sin embargo, no te preocupes! Durante el proceso de duelo, estos\ns\u00edntomas comienzan a disminuir y deber\u00eda reaparecer la capacidad normal de pensamiento y toma de\ndecisiones.<\/p>\n<p>Los bajos niveles de estr\u00e9s pueden ser buenos para nosotros, pero el duelo prolongado que no se\ntrata empujar\u00e1 al cerebro al modo de supervivencia. El \u00e1rea de toma de decisiones del cerebro se\nvuelve menos activa y el \u00e1rea de lucha o huida se hace cargo para garantizar la supervivencia.<\/p>\n<p>Es extremadamente importante que sea amable y paciente consigo misma durante este tiempo. Es\ntotalmente irrazonable esperar que funcione tan competentemente como lo hac\u00eda antes de perder a\nsu c\u00f3nyuge. \u00a1Aseg\u00farese de establecer expectativas realistas para usted misma y celebre cuando\nPUEDE lograr algo en esa extensa lista de tareas pendientes! \u00a1Un bloc de notas para anotar las cosas a\nmedida que se le ocurran puede convertirse en su nuevo mejor amigo!<\/p>\n<p>A estas alturas, es posible que se est\u00e9 preguntando qu\u00e9 cosas podemos hacer para agudizar nuestro\npensamiento y recuperar nuestra capacidad para concentrarnos y tomar decisiones. Hay algunas\ncosas realmente pr\u00e1cticas que pueden ser \u00fatiles. Echemos un vistazo r\u00e1pido a una breve lista:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practique el cuidado personal: coma, beba agua, haga ejercicio, establezca una rutina de sue\u00f1o.<\/li>\n<li>Interrumpa los patrones de pensamiento negativos. \u00a1Det\u00e9ngase en cambio en sus buenos\nrecuerdos!<\/li>\n<li>Busque el apoyo de otras personas que puedan ayudarlo. Es especialmente \u00fatil hablar con otras\npersonas que han experimentado algunas de las mismas cosas.<\/li>\n<li>Pase tiempo al aire libre en la naturaleza. Una caminata larga, sentarse en alg\u00fan lugar cerca de\n\u00e1rboles y\/o agua puede ser muy restaurador tanto para la mente como para las emociones.<\/li>\n<li>Practique la meditaci\u00f3n diaria, preferentemente sobre las Escrituras.<\/li>\n<li>Escriba un diario sobre sus sentimientos. Escribir las cosas ayuda a que los pensamientos y las\nemociones salgan a la luz.
