Lo que sol\u00eda pensar que era una temporada de invierno en mi vida, desde entonces supe que era\nsimplemente un d\u00eda nublado de enero... no una ventisca de marzo que detiene todo y cubre el suelo con\nmontones de nieve y hielo. \u00a1He llegado a entender que "invierno" es un t\u00e9rmino relativo, dependiendo\nde d\u00f3nde vivas en el mundo!<\/p>

\u00a1El invierno en Costa Rica significa d\u00edas fr\u00edos y lluviosos en los que las personas se abrigan con su\u00e9teres y\nparkas de invierno cuando la temperatura alcanza los 60\u00b0! Despu\u00e9s de haber pasado gran parte de mi\nvida en Michigan, Dakota del Sur, el norte de Iowa y Minnesota, el invierno tiene un significado\ncompletamente diferente. Apenas nos ponemos chaquetas hasta que llegamos a los 30, \u00a1y luego\nprobablemente no nos subimos la cremallera! El clima de cero grados significa patinaje sobre hielo,\nmotos de nieve, pesca en hielo, peleas de bolas de nieve y muchas otras actividades al aire libre. Pero\nluego, al avanzar m\u00e1s hacia el norte, hacia Alaska, encontramos nieve como nunca antes la hab\u00edamos\nvisto y meses de oscuridad total antes de que el sol vuelva a salir.<\/p>

Hace poco le\u00ed un blog anterior que escrib\u00ed llamado \"The Winters of Our Lives\" (\"Los Inviernos de Nuestras Vidas\") y me di cuenta de\nque esta temporada de enviudar es realmente el invierno m\u00e1s largo que he experimentado. Aunque\nsabemos en nuestras mentes l\u00f3gicas que eventualmente llegar\u00e1 el invierno, tendemos a pensar que\ntendremos un d\u00eda m\u00e1s para terminar el trabajo de jardiner\u00eda. Y luego, de repente, llega el invierno con la\nprimera nevada, y todos estamos sorprendidos y tomados por sorpresa. \"\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 lleg\u00f3 tan temprano?\"\nle preguntamos.<\/p>

Esperaba enviudar a los 90 a\u00f1os, \u00a1no a los 70! Anticip\u00e9 celebrar nuestro 75\u00ba\naniversario juntos, \u00a1no tener que irse tres meses antes de nuestro 50\u00ba! Repentinamente\u2026. S\u00ed, lleg\u00f3 de\nrepente, como siempre llega la muerte aun cuando se la espera. En una hermosa tarde de marzo, Dave\nfue a estar con Jes\u00fas y el invierno se instal\u00f3 en mi coraz\u00f3n. Todo se detuvo. Tuve que decir adi\u00f3s.<\/p>

En su libro, \u201cFear Gone Wild\u201d, Kayla Stoecklein expresa esto maravillosamente en unas l\u00edneas llamadas\n\u201cSaying Goodbye\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ella contin\u00faa diciendo: \u201cEl d\u00eda que todo cambi\u00f3. El d\u00eda que muri\u00f3 mi vida anterior y comenz\u00f3 una vida\ndiferente e indeseable. Esta nueva vida me aterrorizaba hasta la m\u00e9dula. Era una vida que no quer\u00eda\nvivir sola, una vida a la que no me hab\u00eda apuntado. Quer\u00eda recuperar mi antigua vida. Quer\u00eda a mi\nhombre de vuelta. Quer\u00eda despertar de esta horrible pesadilla\u201d.<\/p>

Al mirar hacia atr\u00e1s desde el punto de vista de cuatro a\u00f1os, puedo decir honestamente que esta ha sido\nla temporada de invierno m\u00e1s larga y dif\u00edcil que he experimentado. Sin embargo, ha habido momentos\nde alegr\u00eda cuando el sol se ha dejado ver. Las \u00e1reas congeladas de mi coraz\u00f3n una vez m\u00e1s han\ncomenzado a descongelarse y puedo sentir que la primavera est\u00e1 en camino. Y todav\u00eda\u2026. Todav\u00eda hay\nesos d\u00edas en los que me pregunto cu\u00e1ntos a\u00f1os pasar\u00e9 sin \u00e9l.<\/p>

Si usted es una viuda que lee esto, es probable que se identifique con el espacio vac\u00edo donde deber\u00eda\nestar su c\u00f3nyuge. Si tiene una viuda en su c\u00edrculo familiar o de amigos, tal vez esto le ayude a echar un\nvistazo a su coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>

La palabra de Dios nos da una promesa asombrosa en G\u00e9nesis 8:22 (NVI) \u201cMientras la tierra dure, la\nsiembra y la siega, el fr\u00edo y el calor, el verano y el invierno, el d\u00eda y la noche no cesar\u00e1n jam\u00e1s\u201d. Si bien\nesto se refiere a las estaciones de la tierra f\u00edsica, me gusta pensar que tambi\u00e9n se refiere a nuestros\ncorazones. Tan seguro como experimentamos los inviernos en nuestras vidas, la primavera volver\u00e1.\nHabr\u00e1 nueva vida, nueva alegr\u00eda y nuevas aventuras.<\/p>

Dios ha prometido que nunca nos dejar\u00e1 ni nos desamparar\u00e1, por lo que nunca hemos estado solas en\nesto. Incluso en los d\u00edas m\u00e1s sombr\u00edos, \u00c9l ha estado caminando con nosotras y habl\u00e1ndonos palabras de\nconsuelo a nuestros corazones. Cuando tengo la tentaci\u00f3n de preguntar: "\u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo seguir sin el\ncompa\u00f1ero de mi vida?", Me doy cuenta de que Dios ha dicho que tengo un lugar especial de protecci\u00f3n\ncon \u00c9l simplemente porque soy viuda.<\/p>

Deje que esta promesa penetre en su coraz\u00f3n hoy como una suave lluvia de primavera. Dios tiene un\nplan que ablandar\u00e1 esos lugares que se han vuelto duros y secos. \u00c9l tiene un plan para producir nuevos\nbrotes de vida que eventualmente dar\u00e1n nuevos frutos. 1 Tesalonicenses 5:24 dice: \u201c\u00a1Fiel es el que os\nllama, y lo har\u00e1!\u201d<\/p>
